Our Privacy Approach
HR Mapper is designed with privacy in mind. The core Boolean search query generator, email permutation calculator, and company directory features process data inside your local browser. We do not maintain user search databases or harvest personal recruitment parameters.
AI Feature Disclosure: HR Mapper includes three AI-powered features that send user-provided data to external AI services for processing:
- 1.AI People Finder — Sends your natural language search request to an AI service that interprets it and generates Boolean search queries.
- 2.Cold DM Pitch Engine — Sends user-provided outreach context (recipient name, company, role, your skills/achievements) to an AI service that generates LinkedIn outreach message drafts.
- 3.AI Resume Parser — Sends browser-extracted resume plaintext to an AI service that parses it into structured candidate profile fields (name, skills, employers, titles, education). The binary resume file itself is never uploaded.
All three features process data ephemerally. No data is retained by AI providers for model training. All other features on HR Mapper process data entirely client-side inside your browser.

Data generated during your use of HR Mapper remains strictly in your control.

When using our optional conversational search feature (/find-people), your message text is processed by trusted enterprise AI infrastructure (Groq GPT OSS 120B, Google Gemini Flash, OpenRouter, SambaNova DeepSeek V3, Cloudflare Workers AI) strictly to extract search intent parameters (company name, location, seniority, and role titles) into Google Boolean syntax.
Messages are evaluated ephemerally to build Boolean search queries and are not retained to train proprietary commercial AI models.
HR Mapper does not scrape behind paywalls, host scraped personal databases, or harvest candidate profiles. Search queries execute directly on third-party public search engines.
2b. Cold DM Pitch Engine & AI Outreach Generation
The optional Cold DM Pitch Engine (Cold DM tab) uses AI to generate LinkedIn outreach message drafts based on context you explicitly provide (recipient name, company name, target role, your skills, achievements, and proof URLs).
Your outreach context is processed ephemerally by the AI service to generate message drafts. Data is not stored, logged, or used for AI model training.
The AI system is constrained to use only the information you supply. It will not fabricate achievements, company details, metrics, or relationships not present in your input.
Only data you explicitly type into the Cold DM form fields is sent to the AI service. HR Mapper does not auto-populate or scrape profile data from external sources.
All AI service calls are routed through HR Mapper's server-side API. Your browser never has access to AI provider API keys or credentials.
2c. AI Resume & CV Parser Data Handling
The optional Resume Parser (/resume-parser) allows you to upload a resume file (PDF, DOCX, or TXT). The binary file is processed entirely inside your browser using client-side JavaScript libraries (Mozilla PDF.js, Mammoth.js). Only the extracted plaintext is sent to AI providers for structured field mapping.
Your resume file (PDF/DOCX/TXT) is never uploaded to HR Mapper servers. Text extraction occurs entirely within your browser runtime using WebAssembly and JavaScript parsers.
Extracted plaintext is sent to AI providers solely for structured field parsing (name, skills, companies, titles). Data is processed ephemerally and is not retained or used for model training.
HR Mapper does not store, cache, or persist your resume content on any server. Parsed results are displayed in your browser session only and are discarded when you leave the page.
All AI service calls are routed through HR Mapper's server-side API endpoint. Your browser never has access to AI provider API keys or credentials.
3. Cookies, Google AdSense & Analytics Disclosures
3a. Google AdSense & the DoubleClick DART Cookie
HR Mapper uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve ads to users based on their visits to HR Mapper and other websites on the internet.

3b. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
HR Mapper uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:
Theme preferences, cookie consent state. Required for basic site functionality.
Google Analytics (GA4) cookies for aggregate traffic measurement. No PII is collected.
Google AdSense and DoubleClick DART cookies for personalized or non-personalized ad serving.
PWA offline caching of static assets. No personal data is cached.
3c. Third-Party Advertising Vendors
Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on HR Mapper. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites you visit.
HR Mapper has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, other advertisers or websites. You may consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices.
3d. How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising
You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising. You may exercise this right through any of the following methods:
- •Google Ads Settings: Visit Google Ads Settings to manage or disable personalized ads from Google.
- •DAA Opt-Out: Visit Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies.
- •NAI Opt-Out: Visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out page.
- •Browser Settings: You can disable or delete cookies through your browser's privacy settings. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions on managing cookie preferences.
3e. Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregate, anonymized traffic analytics (e.g., page views, session duration, geographic region). Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser to distinguish unique users and throttle request rates.
- •No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected or stored via Google Analytics.
- •IP anonymization is enabled to mask your full IP address before storage.
- •You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .
3f. GDPR, CCPA & International Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In either case:
- •You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you.
- •You have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (CCPA). HR Mapper does not sell personal information.
- •You have the right to withdraw consent at any time for cookie-based tracking by adjusting your cookie preferences or contacting us.
- •HR Mapper serves non-personalized ads to users who have not consented to personalized advertising, in compliance with GDPR requirements.

4. Contact Forms & External Redirects
Submissions on our Contact Us and Feedback pages are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections via FormSubmit service. Data is used exclusively to respond to your support request.
When you click "Search on Google" or share a query via WhatsApp, you leave HR Mapper and navigate to third-party platforms (Google Search or WhatsApp Web). Third-party destinations operate under their respective privacy policies.

Because all user data lives inside your browser, you hold total operational control. You can wipe all local storage data with one click below.
